LGS has a highly experienced team with expertise in environmental management, sustainable development, occupational health and safety, research, project management, and training. When specialist skills are required for an assignment, LGS draws on its extensive network of equally experienced associates.
Charles has over 30 years of professional experience spanning environmental management, sustainability consulting, higher education, research supervision, skills development, and project management.
His expertise includes environmental education; training and development; sustainable development; environmental management consulting (audits, assessments and authorisation processes); qualitative and quantitative research; project planning, implementation and appraisal; integrated water resource management; and natural resource management. Charles has extensive experience managing teams of consultants and providing technical inputs into environmental authorisation applications, with excellent presentation, communication and report-writing skills.
He holds a BA Honours in Geography and a Masters in Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Zimbabwe, an Advanced International Certificate in Environmental Education from Uppsala University (Sweden), and an Executive Development Programme from Wits University. He is an Associate of Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD) Southern and Eastern Africa and a member of IAIAsa, and is registered as an Assessor with EDTP SETA, LGSETA, Services SETA and EWSETA.
Jennipher is registered as an Environmental Assessment Practitioner with EAPASA and brings ten years’ experience and a solid background in environmental management, environmental impact assessment, environmental auditing, and project management.
She has experience across a broad range of environmental areas with an analytical, thoughtful approach to problem-solving, including administering and maintaining Environmental Management Systems, conducting internal and site audits, and carrying out Environmental Impact Assessments. She has extensive knowledge of environmental legislation — NEMA, the National Heritage Resources Act, and the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, among others — and the attendant processes.
She holds a BSc Honours in Environmental Management from the University of South Africa (2019) and a BSc Honours in Applied Environmental Science from the University of Zimbabwe (2009), along with further postgraduate qualifications, and has experience training and mentoring junior and intermediate environmental officers.
